The tip on the 4 power at least in the Sierra and Fury line is a little stiffer and on the 3 power is a little slower so you can fish treble hooks as well as weightless soft plastics on that. However the Avid balances a 3000 Stradic FK ever so slightly better as the Dobyns is just a tad tip heavy, likely due to no for grip on the rod ( I would not put a reel that weighs less than 8.5-9 ozs on the Dobyns as the balance would be way off at that point). My champion 702sf also feels more sensitive than the Fury. I've got a Fury 734c, 702sf, 704c, Champion 702sf, 683sf and Sierra 703c, 734c. This year I started throwing 10" worms, 3/8 + 1/2 chatter baits, 2.5 square bills, 3/4 Red Eye Shads, and 1/2 double colorado spinnerbaits.
