The original handgrip is included which shows the serial number (worn). The remaining horns are the demo Hans Hoyer instruments that Vince was instrumental in developing in the early 2000s. Slide action is still very good. $1600 without case, This is an unusual but very special trombone. The model 12 has a .500" bore slide. Because of the bell crack and unstamped bell, this one is bargain priced at $1700. This horn was originally B.B. I believe this is an early predecessor to the model PT-9, and it's a 5 valve small bore F tuba. This one has been recently tuned up and prepped for sale and is a great playing instrument, especially for the budding bass trombonist or established veteran. In good shape silver finish with some of the silver worn off. Sound is clear and brilliant as you'd expect from a Bach alto, which is a smaller bore than more typical alto trombones. Not going to last long. Plays very well. It begs to be played and loved. There are some minor mute dings in the bell flare (it is quite thin and responsive, thus prone to mute dings, which are present in the bell flare). This horn is nearly new. It looks like he used a King valve stem instead of the original Conn part, so the serial number is not from a Conn. The sterling silver bell has some heft to it, holds together in loud volume. Great sound and easy to play. This 78H has character. Has the original paddle type thumb trigger. Takes a standard bass trombone shank mouthpiece. This one has an oddity, the serial number is stamped on the top cork barrel of the slide I assume that this has been flipped at some point, but I see no evidence other than the stamp being in the wrong place, so it could be from the factory like this. It has a .522" slide and a 7.5" bell diameter. A superb playing instrument, and a significant discount on our production models. Has a nice comfortable ergonomic grip and build quality is good. It still has the original bronze outer slide tubes. Bb tenor trombones have a balance weight fitted as standard, whilst the tuning slides of Bb/F tenor trombones and bass trombones are usually supplied without counterweights. This one has been floating around Los Angeles for the past 15 years and is well known here for being a truly impressive instrument. The bell is one of the most vibrant I've encountered and is perfectly spun. I just love the sound of a Benge trombone, it is gooey dark with a brilliant edge, begging to be played with core and depth.
