attractions for the entire family. If you ever visit Akron, bellow are places you must see and do in
Downtown Akron.
Akron Art Museum
The recently renovated and expanded Akron Art Museum is 12,000 sq feet of galleries containing art
collections dating back to 1850 until today. Revolving art exhibits are also on display. There are exciting
and enlightening programs available for every age group. Facilities include a gift shop, café, auditorium,
children's gallery, and classroom. The museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday from 11am — 5pm, Thursday 11am — 9pm Pricing: Adult $7, Students & Seniors, $5, Kids 12 and
under are free.
E J Thomas Hall
Enjoy world—class entertainment in downtown Akron's E.J. Thomas Hall. The performing arts complex
and cultural center is home to a variety of performances year-round including Broadway musicals,
ballets, comedies, lectures, entertainers, and special events. It is also home to The Akron Symphony
Orchestra, Tuesday Musical Association, Children's Concert Society, and Akron Youth Symphony.
Big City Chophouse
You can't go wrong by beginning or capping off your trip to downtown Akron with a trip to Big City
Chophouse. You will be pampered with the attentive staff and delighted by the menu of tender, juicy
steaks; Italian dishes; and fresh seafood. The dining room is elegant and inviting, as is the seated bar. Big
City Chophouse is a destination all in its own. Hours are Monday — Thursday from 11amto 10pm, Friday
11am to 10pm, and Saturday 4pm to 11pm.
Rubber City Clothing
Rubber City Clothing has a trendy boutique in historic downtown Akron. They offer a whole line of tee-
shirts, hoodies, caps, and apparel for men, women and children with Akron logos and phrases. The
clothing line is fun and edgy, great for Akronites and for souvenir gifts. Rubber City Clothing is open
Monday through Saturday from 11am to 6pm.
